Quick answers

My gate doesn’t open when I tap Unlock. Make sure you’re within Bluetooth range (a few meters of the keypad) and that Bluetooth is on. Open Settings → Diagnostics → View logs to see exactly where the unlock attempt is getting stuck. The most common cause is a wrong User ID or passcode — both come from the access card the keypad’s installer issued you.

Auto-unlock isn’t firing when I arrive. Bouncer needs Always Allow location, not just While Using. Open the app → Settings → Automation. If the orange “Auto-unlock is off” callout is showing, tap Grant Always Allow, then accept Apple’s prompt (or flip it in iOS Settings → Bouncer → Location if you’ve already seen the prompt).

I want a family member or guest to use the gate too. Open Settings → Diagnostics → Share gate setup to generate a bouncer:// link. Send it to them however you like (Messages, AirDrop, email). They open the link on their iPhone and Bouncer pre-fills the gate’s name, location, and your User ID. They enter their own passcode the first time they unlock — your credentials are never shared.

I just deleted and reinstalled the app and it remembered my old gate. Bouncer ships with an install-marker sentinel that wipes Keychain on a fresh install. If something looks ghosted, delete the app, reboot, and reinstall — that always clears state.
